About Julia

Gratitude goes to my mother.  This is one of her early pastels which gives me great pleasure.  She took me to art galleries from a very early age and always encouraged me to draw. An amateur artist herself she explained about perspective, composition, balance of light and shade, cool and warm colours and how and why some colours sing next to each other.  I was always able to understand what I liked.

My professional career took a different path as both parents wanted me to keep music and art in the domain of ‘hobbies’ but the love and my engagement with them has never left.  Now I am turning to them to fulfill my lifetime's commitment to creative expression and facilitation.

In mixed media, I bring colour, pattern and texture from nature and diverse structural forms into what I see and feel, as a balanced integrity of grace.

As a facilitator, I enable others to find their own way to discover more of their visual pleasure and creative expression of it.
